Pardubice's kittens, Miou Miou, belong among the humorous, idea-filled,
and above all the original. After one mini-album and one single, the
band has lived to see their pale blue debut. Blue, not referring to
melancholy or sadness, rather to a clearing summer sky at dawn, when
you get out of bed right foot first, open the window, and let in a
breath of fresh air. Breathe deep, this music will refresh you. We'll
call it gentle pop, because it keeps to its strong melodies and repetitive
fundamentals. However, we do hit upon the word „alternative“. Arrangements
with guitars, electronic, flutes, accordions, strings and more – there
are altogether 19 guest artists participating, and not of the type
that you'd hear in the worn-out songs of yesteryear. Karolina Dytrtova's
pleasantly sweet voice and fragile French are moreover exactly like
the chocolate you find inside the best French bonbonniere. Bon appétit!
